- Why should I choose vakobi?
- Because vakobi allows you to see real-time availability for every property, and allows you to book and pay online, quickly and easily.
- What payments options are available?
- Vakobi accepts all major credit cards, as well as PayPal, the world's most popular internet payment system.
- Don't all holiday rental websites work like that?
- You might think so, but no. Most other websites only list properties that are available to rent. It is up to you to complete the transaction directly with the property owner or manager.
- How much does vakobi cost to use?
- vakobi is free for the holiday-maker. There are no additional or hidden charges. The price you see for your holiday is the price that you pay.
- How can I be sure that my money is safe?
- vakboi does not release your funds to the property owner until after your holiday. In the unlikely event that your booking was not honoured, vakobi can refund you your booking charge.
- How is the booking payment structured?
- At present, you must pay 100% in advance.
- What is the refund policy?
- At present, if you cancel a booking, no refund is available.
For property managers and letting agents
- Why should I choose vakobi?
- Because by making it easier for the holiday-maker, vakobi will get you more bookings.
- Research shows that internet shoppers are up to three times more likely to complete a transaction if they have the opportunity to do so there and then. By providing realtime availability and credit card bookings, vakobi gives your property the best chance of being booked each time.
- How will vakobi market my property?
- For each property and location that is listed on vakobi, we generate a multiple, targeted sets of Google AdWords. This ensures that your properties and your locations have the best chance of being found by prospective customers.
- What does vakobi cost to use?
- vakobi is free for property agents and managers to register and list their properties. vakobi charges a standard commission of 10% on any bookings taken, inclusive of payment fees. When you consider that this charge includes credit card or PayPal processing fees (which can cost up to 3% alone) and internet advertising,this is not a bad deal!

- So, how does that work?
- Once we have taken a booking, we collect the full booking charge from the holiday-maker. We deduct our commission, and store the balance (your rent) in a secure account. At the end of the month in which the holiday-maker takes their hoilday, vakobi will remit these funds directly to your account. You will receive a statement of all of your income for that period, across all of the properties you have listed with vakobi.
- Who can use vakobi?
- vakobi is available to any self-catering accommodation provider, no matter how large or small - from one person operations to large, multinational companies.
- If I'm a private property owner, can I list my property on vakobi?
- Absolutely! Private owners or property investors are welcome to list their properties on vakobi.
- How many photos of my property can I upload?
- vakobi does not impose a limit on the number of photos of your property that you can upload - the more the better! There are no additional charges for uploading extra photos.
- How do I get paid once a holiday-maker has booked one of my properties?
- We will transfer all the booking fees that you're owed straight to your bank account at the end of every month.
- Am I required to provide exclusive access to vakobi?
- No, not at all. If you find that other advertising or listings channels are effective for getting you bookings, by all means, continue to use it. The only requirement is that if you take a booking from another channel, that you ensure that that period is marked as unavailable in vakobi. This ensures that no holiday-maker can accidentally double-book that week.
- What happens if a holiday-maker double-books a week because I forgot to update my availability on vakobi?
- According to our Terms and Conditions, you are obligied to honour the booking taken on vakobi, regardless of whether it was first or second. This ensures that our holiday-makers are confident that the availability that they see is indeed real-time. Everybody wins!
- Am I obliged to list all weeks of the year for all my properties on vakobi?
- Not at all! You may list as many or as few weeks as you wish. If you want to try vakobi out, you could start by just listing a few of your off-peak weeks to see what happens - at no cost and no risk.
